Job Title:

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Days or Nights - Corrections

Join our team as an LVN for day or night shifts in a Texas correctional facility, providing vital healthcare within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and administer medications.

• Perform IV therapy and collaborate with healthcare teams.

• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage tasks efficiently.

• Float between units within a 10-30 minute radius as needed.

Schedule:

Shifts:

5:00 PM - 5:30 PM or 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM.

• 36/48-hour weekly rotation with advance scheduling.

• Overtime opportunities based on performance.

Qualifications:

• Valid Compact or Texas LVN license.

• BLS and IV Therapy Certification.

• 2 years LVN experience, 1 year in Acute Care or Med Surg required.

• Experience in LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing, or Psych is a plus.

• Ability to work independently in a correctional setting.

Additional Information:

• COVID-19 vaccination required, exemptions accepted.

• Orientation provided after credentialing and state clearance.
