Position OverviewThis position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting real-world problems, and learning how instrumentation, systems, and data work together. You will support environmental monitoring projects while building strong technical expertise alongside experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the design, configuration, installation, and support of advanced industrial monitoring systems
- Perform hands-on work with instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition hardware/software, and supporting communications
- Analyze, validate, and interpret monitoring data
- Support preparation of technical reports, monitoring plans, and training materials
- Contribute to the development of new monitoring products and services
- Learn and apply applicable environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project teams to meet project objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field
- 0-4 years of experience
- Mechanical aptitude with a curiosity to tinker
- Familiarity with hand tools, voltmeters, or networking is a plus
- Effective technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or on a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Willingness for overnight travel (up to 40%) to project sites, training opportunities, and conferences both in the U.S. and internationally
