The Assistant Principal resa School is a faith-filled, mission-driven individual who serves primarily in support of the Middle School program. The Assistant Principal works in close collaboration with the Principal to advance the school’s Catholic mission, foster academic excellence, and support the spiritual, intellectual, and personal formation of students in grades 6–8.

This position is instructional and relational in nature, with a strong emphasis on middle school culture, curriculum, discipline, and faculty support, all rooted in the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.

Primary Responsibilities Catholic Identity & Mission
  • Serve as a visible witness to the Catholic faith and actively support the religious mission of St. Theresa School
  • Promote a school culture grounded in Gospel values, respect, service, and discipleship
  • Support school-wide prayer, liturgical celebrations, and faith-based initiatives, with special attention to middle school students
Middle School Leadership
  • Oversee the day-to-day academic and behavioral life of the middle school
  • Support the unique developmental, social, and spiritual needs of adolescent learners
  • Collaborate with middle school teachers to ensure a consistent, positive, and respectful learning environment
  • Assist with scheduling, student placement, and transitions into and out of middle school
Instructional Leadership
  • Support curriculum development, alignment, and implementation in grades 6–8
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to middle school faculty
  • Promote best practices in instruction, assessment, and student engagement
  • Support professional growth and collaboration among teachers
Student Support & Discipline
  • Assist with student discipline, emphasizing restorative practices and growth in responsibility
  • Partner with teachers and parents to address academic or behavioral concerns
  • Foster strong relationships with students, serving as a trusted and consistent presence
Family & Community Engagement
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents regarding student progress and school expectations
  • Support parent meetings, conferences, and school events related to the middle school
  • Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and families to strengthen the St. Theresa community
Administrative Support
  • Assist the Principal with school operations, policies, and procedures
  • Support accreditation, compliance, and Archdiocesan requirements
  • Participate in faculty meetings, leadership meetings, and school planning initiatives
Qualifications
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field (or in progress)
  • Valid administrative licensure or eligibility per Archdiocesan requirements
  • Experience teaching and/or leading at the middle school level
  • Strong knowledge of adolescent development
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

This position has an annualized salary range of $55,000.00 - $70,000.00. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
