Shift Pattern:
Monday - Sunday 24/7, Early, late, night. Main theatres RAH. This is a 2x WTE Band 6 CN/CODP post within the main theatre suite. The unit operates seven days a week including weekends and public holidays; shift patterns reflect this. The main theatre suite consists of 9 operating theatres, a 12 bedded recovery room and a reception suite.
- Be part of a well established Charge Nurse/Charge ODP team within the main theatre suite, supported by SCN/SODP colleagues.
- Support perioperative service delivery across the theatre suite with flexibility to work across Clyde Theatres as required.
- Contribute to a perioperative education program that supports continued professional development and development opportunities.
- Provide clinical leadership in the scrub specialties as applicable (ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology or Orthopaedics) and work within a rotation across the theatre suite.
- Demonstrate extensive experience at band 5 level and hold a first level registration as a Nurse or ODP.
- Maintain a current NMC pin or HCPC registration and pursue ongoing professional development, with a degree-level education preferred.
- First level Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP with extensive band 5 experience in scrub specialties.
- Degree-level education; demonstrated evidence of continued professional development.
- Current NMC pin or HCPC registration.
You will be a dynamic individual educated to degree level and able to demonstrate evidence of continued professional development. The unit supports a perioperative education team to aid development and practice enhancement. You will be required to be flexible across the theatre suite to support service delivery.
