Overview
Are you a Food Science Graduate seeking a starter within Food Manufacturing? Junior QA Assistant / Quality Assistant. Full Time | Permanent | Day-Based (37.5 hrs). Ditcheat, Somerset (near Shepton Mallet & Wincanton). Salary £27,000. Excellent Benefits | 30 Days Holiday (incl. BHs).
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior QA Assistant / Quality Assistant to join the Technical Department of a growing, award-winning, family-owned food manufacturer.
Responsibilities- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with legal, industry, and customer standards
- Review and maintain daily quality records
- Conduct internal and hygiene audits and follow up on corrective actions
- Assist with customer complaints, micro investigations, and non-conformances
- Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Intermediate Food Safety in Manufacturing (desirable)
- Internal Audit training (desirable)
- Experience with in cheese, dairy, or food manufacturing preferred
- Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
- Keen to develop within a technical/quality role
- Ideal candidates may have previously been a:
Food Graduate, Technical Assistant, QA / QC Assistant or Quality Assistant
