Wood Machinist

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operative to join a well-established company based in Trafford Park within the laminate manufacturing industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands‑on experience operating specialist machinery and looking for a long‑term position with the potential to go permanent.

You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery involved in the production and finishing of laminate products. Equipment may include:

• Edgebanders
• Post forming machines
• Spindle moulders
• Beam saws

• Operating and setting machinery safely and efficiently
• Monitoring production quality and output
• Reading and working from technical drawings/specifications
• Ensuring materials are cut and finished to high standards
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Reporting any faults or maintenance requirements

• Minimum 12 months' experience operating edgebanders, post forming machinery, spindle moulders, beam saws or similar
• Experience with in the laminate, woodworking, furniture manufacturing or similar industry preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team

• Competitive pay rate of £14.00 - £16.50 per hour (depending on experience)
• Early finish on Fridays
• Temp to permanent opportunity

• Monday to Thursday: 07.00 - 16.00
• Friday: 07.00 - 14.45
