Job Title: One Source Indirect Tax Technology Specialist

Location: Global (Fully Remote)

Contract: Long-Term

We are seeking a highly experienced Indirect Tax Technology Specialist to support the design, implementation, integration, and optimisation of ONESOURCE Indirect Tax solutions within complex enterprise environments.

The role will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across indirect tax determination, working closely with Tax, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver robust, scalable tax technology solutions across global organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Indirect Tax & Tax Technology
• Act as SME for ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination, supporting Sales & Use Tax, VAT, and GST processes
• Provide expert guidance on US Sales & Use Tax and international indirect tax requirements
• Support tax change management initiatives driven by regulatory or business change
• Systems Integration & Delivery
• Lead and support end-to-end implementations and upgrades of ONESOURCE Indirect Tax
• Design and deliver integrations between ONESOURCE and enterprise systems including:
• SAP ECC and SAP S/4
  
  HANA
• Oracle E-Business Suite (R12)
• JD Edwards, People Soft, billing and POS systems
• Produce and maintain:
• Functional and technical design documents
• Process flows and solution blueprints
• Tax configuration and mapping documentation
• Project & Stakeholder Management
• Operate as Project Manager or Delivery Lead for tax technology initiatives where required
• Run workshops to gather and validate business requirements
• Coordinate with internal teams, systems integrators, and software vendors
• Manage testing activities including:
• Unit testing
• Integration testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Ensure successful deployment into production with minimal business disruption
• Required Experience & Skills
• Extensive experience working with ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination
• Strong background in Indirect Tax Technology (Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST)
• Proven experience integrating ONESOURCE with ERP systems, ideally SAP and/or Oracle
• Hands‑on experience across implementation, configuration, testing, and support
• Ability to translate tax and business requirements into technical solutions
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working in large enterprise or consulting environments
• Exposure to global tax implementations (NA, EMEA, APAC, LATAM)
• Project management experience within tax or ERP programmes
• Agile / structured delivery methodologies
• Qualifications & Certifications (Desirable)
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline
• ONESOURCE product training or certification
• ERP‑related training (SAP / Oracle)
• Project Management or Agile certification
