Overview

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to work within the developing Hospital at Home service within Renfrewshire/East Renfrewshire. Candidates must be registered on NMC prior to applying for this post. A car driver is necessary.

Shift pattern – 8 am to 8 pm, 5 days over 7, including public holidays. As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week; part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

• Manage and provide care for patients admitted to the Hospital at Home virtual ward, delivering acute level care in the patients’ own homes or homely environments.
• Work under the direction and supervision of the lead ANP and ANP’s within the team, supporting the delivery of safe, high‑quality care.
• Collaborate with front‑door teams (ED, MAU, AMU, Older Adults assessment unit) to admit frailty patients with acute changes to the Hospital at Home virtual ward.
• Assist in the expansion of the bed model to 18 beds delivered over 7 days inclusive of public holidays, as the service becomes more established.

• Registered nurse with NMC registration.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (car driver required).
