An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team within the Older People and Stroke Services at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a genuine desire to make a difference and deliver high-quality, person-centred care to older adults.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge across various specialist areas, including stroke rehabilitation, orthopaedic rehabilitation, movement disorders, and general medical care for the elderly.
Key Responsibilities- Working within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care for a defined patient group.
- Performing the necessary technical, invasive, and physical aspects of care competently.
- Carrying responsibility for the assessment of care needs, and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Providing clinical leadership for patient assessment and ensuring care is evidence-based.
- Collaborating closely with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, including frailty practitioners and AHP Consultants, to facilitate effective discharge planning.
- Acting as a role model to colleagues and student nurses.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week
. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
