Mosswood Care Home in Linwood provides expert 24-hour nursing care for older adults living with dementia or physical disabilities. Our friendly, dedicated team ensures residents enjoy a warm, supportive environment with facilities including welcoming social areas, a hair salon, a reminiscence room, and a cinema.
Rated all 5s by the Care Inspectorate and proudly holding a 9.9 score on , Mosswood is recognised for delivering outstanding care. We’re currently seeking compassionate local candidates to join us in providing top-quality support and engaging activities that make a real difference in residents’ lives.
As a Care Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our care team, helping us achieve an excellent standard of care for our residents and promoting the values and ethos of our home.
What You’ll Do- Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging them to make positive choices and remain as independent as possible.
- Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
- Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, communicate any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
- Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident in every interaction.
- Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
- Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
- Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Spread Smiles: Bring joy to residents’ lives and help them smile every day.
- Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
- Experience: Ideally, at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
- Passion: You’re genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
- Values: You bring integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork to everything you do.
