Accounts Assistant

? Do you have experience processing manual journals?

We're looking for three Accounts Assistant to join a Finance Service Delivery Team in Paisley. In this pivotal role, you'll help drive financial accuracy, strengthen internal controls and support their mission to deliver exceptional financial stewardship across the organisation.

You will be central to ensuring precise month-end processes, interpreting and applying financial policies and maintaining compliance with established Service Level Agreements. With a commitment to process excellence, you will help maintain robust controls and deliver insight that supports our wider business strategy.

• Processing manual journals to maintain accuracy of financial data
• Understanding end-to-end transactional flows to analyse and interpret P&L performance against budget
• Delivering insightful commentary on financial performance and completing balance sheet reconciliations
• Identifying trends through variance analysis to highlight risks and opportunities, supporting functional budget preparation
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure a value-added service and a collaborative approach across locations

Essential skills:

• Processing manual journals/ledgers
• High numeracy and strong analytical capabilities
• Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to self-manage, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Experience of working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

• Salary: Up to £28,000
• Performance Bonus: Up to 13.5%
• Pension: Employee contribution: 5% - Company contribution:
  10%
