Consultant Psychiatrist

An established independent mental health hospital in Paisley seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist for its experienced clinical team. The service supports adults with acute and enduring mental health difficulties through structured care pathways and strong MDT input. Ideal for consultants valuing clinical autonomy and service influence . Responsibilities Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and diagnosis for adult inpatients Develop and oversee individualised treatment plans with MDT input Lead daily ward rounds and clinical reviews Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to training Participate in clinical governance, audit, and service development Liaise with external agencies and manage complex discharges Key Details & Benefits CPD allowance, professional fees paid £115,000 £ 135,000 per year (DOE) 6 weeks annual leave Private medical insurance CPD allowance , professional fees paid Clinical supervision, leadership opportunities Close-knit MDT with excellent nursing support Requirements GMC registration with licence to practise Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT) in Psychiatry Consultant-level inpatient/community experience desirable
