You’ll spend time with different areas of the business such as Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Technology giving you a rounded understanding of how we work and how decisions are made.

You will also gain experience supporting requests from senior leaders and committees, helping you see the bigger picture of how M&G is run.

As your confidence grows, you’ll be encouraged to take on more responsibility, follow established processes, share your ideas for improvements, and develop practical skills that will support your long‑term career development.

What will you be doing?

As a Reporting and Risk Governance Apprentice, you will be:

  • Help the team gather, check and organise information that is used for risk reports and senior meetings.
  • Support the preparation of packs and materials for risk committees and other internal meetings.
  • Monitor key risk metrics, helping the team spot early signs of issues and raising them where needed.
  • Attend regular team and project meetings, taking notes and helping with actions as part of a large, ongoing company project.
  • Work with other Risk teams across the business to support the delivery of the team’s priorities for 2026.
