Forge Shop Operator

Job Title: Forge Shop Operator
Department: Forge Shop
FLSA Status: Hourly $20-25 per hour

SUMMARY: Must be able to set-up & operate forging upsetters & presses, operate forklift, use calipers and maintain dimensional data records.

• Select, align, and bolt positioning fixtures, stops, and dies to forging equipment.
• Set up and operate forging machines to perform hot-forging operations.
• Install, adjust, and remove dies and components using cranes, hoists, and hand tools.
• Maintain safe and efficient operation while meeting production and quality standards.

• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain awareness around hot metal, heavy machinery, and mobile equipment.
• Inspect tools, dies, forklifts, and PPE before use.

• Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience.
• Ability to perform essential physical job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

• Experience as a Forge Hammer Operator or Forging Machine Setter.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
