Full-time

Reporting to the Supervisor, Behavioral Health Services, the Counselor will provide counseling services to both adults and children experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties, in individual, group, or family settings, using a team‑focused treatment plan approach.

• Conduct individual, group, or family therapy for adults and children
• Actively engage in supervision with your BH Supervisor
• Assist clients in preparing and presenting treatment program work material
• Maintain client charting in accordance with Medicaid, JCAHO, ODADAS, ODMH, CARF, and professional standards
• Demonstrate ability to work efficiently, meeting productivity expectations
• Prepare all documentation for discharge and aftercare referral
• Assist in community outreach
• Safeguard welfare of others and act ethically and legally
• Perform telehealth services as determined by Signature Health
• Complete all productivity/documentation requirements
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Valid unencumbered LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, LMSFT or LMFT license in Ohio
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Competency in treatment of mental health and/or substance use disorders within individual, group, couples, and family systems therapy
• Experience collaborating with team members to optimize client outcomes
• Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations
• Awareness of community and state support resources for target populations

• Work performed in typical interior/office/clinical environment
• Flexibility to work evenings and extended hours may be required
• Requires periods of sitting, standing, telephone, and computer work
• Hearing adequate to hear clients in person, over phone, or telehealth
• Speaking adequate to speak to clients in person, over phone, or telehealth
• Vision adequate for reading printed sources and screens
• Occasional lifting of items up to 15 pounds, unassisted
• Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing duties
• Frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, sitting, with regular lifting, pushing and pulling
• Dexterity sufficient to operate PC and office equipment
