Position: Residential Program Assistants 12 Hour Shifts

The Residential Program Assistant supports staff by facilitating resident interactions, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing essential administrative tasks such as maintaining fiscal records and tracking client documentation. This role involves overseeing medication administration, conducting house inspections, and participating in team meetings to promote a safe and supportive environment for recovery.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Interacts with residents in a supportive manner to encourage recovery, ensuring compliance with all rules, policies, and health & safety standards.
  • Track client forms, complete charting in compliance with agency policies.
  • Ensure medication self-administration, monitoring, storage, and disposal are implemented in a safe manner for clients and staff.
  • Follow all guidelines and protocols for monitoring self-administration of client’s medications.
  • Responsible for notifying the appropriate pharmacy and or medical provider when prescriptions need refilled.
  • Compiles client outcome reports and coordinates the assignment of data collection with the counselor.
  • Delivers cash receipts to Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist for deposit per established procedures.
  • Participates in staff meetings, manages correspondence, and maintains necessary forms. Handles agency phone calls professionally and refers to appropriate resources.
  • Conducts house inspections, reports maintenance issues, and assists with necessary purchases.
  • Manages normal residential operations and emergency situations independently.
  • Upholds professional ethics and client confidentiality, including knowledge of client rights and grievance procedures.
  • May transport residents as necessary.
  • Remains on duty beyond scheduled times, if necessary, when the welfare of the residents may be adversely affected.

High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree and/or Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CDCA) license preferred. Previous experience in a residential treatment setting preferred. Minimum of one year in a personal recovery program, if applicable. Valid driver license and clean driving record. Strong belief in and commitment to 12-step recovery principles. Understanding of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders and familiarity with community resources.

Background check and Alcohol and Drug Screen required.

Starting at $18/hour
