Plant Controller

We’re partnering with a global manufacturing organization to add a Plant Controller / Cost Accountant to their finance team. This position sits at the intersection of Accounting and Operations, with direct involvement in manufacturing cost analysis, inventory accuracy, and machine/project costing within SAP.

• Analyze raw materials, labor, overhead, and inventory activity to determine product and machine costs
• Perform standard vs. actual cost analysis and prepare detailed variance reporting
• Coordinate and analyze monthly production data within SAP
• Close and review production orders in partnership with planners and Operations
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to inventory, fixed assets, and manufacturing activity
• Support quarterly machine cost reporting and new product cost development initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Purchasing, and Operations
• Assist with physical inventory audits and ongoing inventory reconciliation
• Support internal project accounting and revenue recognition tied to automation initiatives

• 3–5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on SAP experience, specifically in product costing, production orders, and manufacturing cost analysis (required)
• Strong Excel skills and overall systems proficiency
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
• CMA or MBA is a plus
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
