The Field Sales Trainer – Orthotics will serve as a clinical and commercial subject matter expert across musculoskeletal diseases and Thuasne’s orthotics portfolio. This remote‑based role will support the U.S. field sales organization, including Independent Sales Representatives (ISRs), Direct Sales Representatives, and Product Marketing teams. The Trainer will play a "player‑coach" role by actively participating in field sales activities, attending key customer meetings, delivering clinical and product presentations, representing Thuasne USA at trade shows, and contributing to business development strategies.

Duties

/ Responsibilities
  • Act as a clinical authority in musculoskeletal disease states (orthopedic injuries, soft tissue, inflammatory conditions).
  • Lead field sales training programs to develop team competencies in clinical knowledge, selling skills, and patient/clinician engagement.
  • Independently assess field sales execution and report areas of strength and opportunities for improvement to the VP of Business Development and Sales Leadership.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to refine clinical messaging, optimize sales tools, and align content with evolving market opportunities.
  • Support business development initiatives by identifying treatment trends, customer pain points, and non‑product solutions.
  • Analyze market data to best position Thuasne products for sales growth and market share gains.
  • Serve as a liaison with clinicians to enhance field credibility and reinforce Thuasne’s reputation as a trusted partner.
  • Attend and represent Thuasne at key trade shows and customer events.
  • Participate in priority selling activities, including product launches and high‑value customer interactions.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred, or equivalent experience)
  • 6 Years of experience required in clinical role utilizing orthotics and durable medical equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal disease states and the clinical care chain.
  • Allied health professional background strongly preferred, with credentials such as: MD (Doctor of Medicine), DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine), PT (Physical Therapist), PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant), ATC (Certified Athletic Trainer), CPO (Certified Prosthetist‑Orthotist), CO (Certified Orthotist), CP (Certified Prosthetist), PA (Physician Assistant), NP (Nurse Practitioner), RN (Registered Nurse), LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), or MA (Medical Assistant)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clinicians and translate clinical insights into sales strategies.
  • Experience in sales training, coaching, or professional development preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Domestic Travel up to 50%.

Competency is evaluated beginning on date of hire and will be verified after all job function and evaluation requirements are completed. Additional tasks may be required as business needs dictate. Individual goal plans will be defined, and performance indicators may be modified as technologies and market conditions evolve.

Working

Conditions

Remote‑based role with approximately 50% travel to support field sales activities, training, and trade shows. Combination of working at a computer, participating in virtual meetings, and traveling to clinical/customer sites. Extended standing and presenting in group settings required during training programs and events.
