Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Site Coordinator and Site Administration, the paraprofessional is responsible for assisting with instruction and working with children in the classroom. The paraprofessional helps with supervision during breakfast and lunch and when students arrive and depart from summer programming.

• Provide additional support to students under the direction of the Site Coordinator and Teachers
• Assist teachers with the implementation of small groups or individual instruction
• Prepare special materials for students and for the classroom as needed
• Supervise students throughout the hours of summer programming

• Ability to relate well to both children and adults
• Good written and oral language skills
• Experience working in an educational setting is required

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be educationally qualified (AA Degree or 60 Credit Hours of College Coursework) or successfully have passed the PRAXIS Exam

• MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Power School
