• Performing maintenance and repairs to various engines aboard vessels.
• Troubleshoot and replace pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
• Assist the Port Engineer/Project Manager on repairs to vessels on dry dock.
• Extensive travel in company provided work truck.
• Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including PPE.
• Visit vessels in operation for repair and preventive maintenance planning.
• Work on-call rotation, ensuring coverage after hours and on weekends and holidays.
• Perform other duties and activities as directed by VP of Engineering.

Qualifications:

• EMD, John Deere, Caterpillar and/or Cummins engine experience, preferred.
• Experience with Falk, Lufkin, and Reintjes gears a plus.
• Experience with HVAC and Electrical systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of Steerprop Z drive units a plus.
• TWIC Required.
• Excellent driving record required.
• Ability to travel. (Company vehicle provided)
