Preventative Maintenance Technician
Position Type:

Full-Time | Non-Exempt | 40 Hours per Week (Not to Exceed 9 Months – Seasonal Term)

Reports To:

Maintenance Supervisor

We are looking for a hard worker to do basic maintenance and repairs at apartment buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Change air filters and test smoke detectors.
• Do small plumbing and carpentry fixes (fix leaks, patch drywall).
• Walk through buildings to check for damage or safety issues.
• Use a company iPad to track what you fixed.
• Help clean up and prep vacant apartments.

• Digital proficiency with mobile documentation systems

• Professionalism and integrity

• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) year of building maintenance, construction, or related trade experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to operate tablets and mobile applications
• Ability to follow NSPIRE and HQS protocols
• Subject to drug screening and background check

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces
• Exposure to typical maintenance-related hazards (mechanical, chemical, environmental)
• Use of required PPE
• Work may involve deadlines and coordination across multiple properties

Employment Terms

• Seasonal appointment not to exceed nine (9) months
• May require alternate schedules or emergency response
