Retail & Store Manager, Retail Sales
DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring for the Retail Sales Lead Golf role. This position focuses on upholding brand standards, delivering excellent customer service, and leading a store team in alignment with company policies.
Overview:
The Lead has a direct impact on brand execution and teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead serves as the in-store expert for their department. The Lead leads by example, demonstrates empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration to support a hassle-free shopping experience.
- Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
- Fosters a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to build mutual trust and respect.
- Plans and organizes 30 days out with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager, aligning on workforce to execute daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
- Leverages teammates to meet brand standards and ensure programs and processes are executed daily; delegates tasks based on priority.
- Upholds merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards.
- Assists the store leadership team with general supervision in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Assists with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current teammates.
- Prioritizes coaching and development; provides hands-on coaching and explains the "why" behind tasks, plans, and processes (e.g., NSPP, Scorecards, LP).
- Leads by example to align teammates with organizational goals and deliver a smooth shopping experience.
- Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
- Adheres to policies related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures; maintains confidentiality of Company information.
- Takes an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

- Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
- Golf experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder or aerial lifting device; platform operations may be required.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours continuously).
