Arkema’s Calvert City facility is seeking a skilled Pipefitter/Welder 1/C to support the maintenance and reliability of plant operations. This union hourly role is responsible for installing, repairing, fabricating, and maintaining piping systems and welded components essential to safe and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, and fittings in accordance with specifications and plant standards.
- Work collaboratively with other crafts to ensure piping systems integrate properly with production and maintenance work.
- Perform welding operations using TIG, MIG, stick, and other applicable techniques.
- Weld pipes, structural components, and joints to meet all safety, code, and quality requirements.
- Read, interpret, and utilize blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
- Translate drawing requirements into accurate and efficient pipe fitting and welding tasks.
- Adhere to all site safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Identify and promptly report potential safety concerns or hazards.
- Perform inspections and testing of completed welds and piping installations to verify compliance with specifications.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and is free of defects such as leaks or insufficient weld penetration.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, engineers, supervisors, and project personnel.
- Provide clear communication to support troubleshooting and maintenance planning.
- Minimum of 5 years of pipe fitting, welding, or related craft experience.
- Welding certifications (ASME, AWS, or equivalent) are preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in multiple welding processes and pipe fitting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
