A confidential aerospace and defense manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planner to join its production team. In this role you will develop and maintain manufacturing plans, integrate suppliers and processes, and ensure cost‑effective production of complex aircraft components.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain manufacturing plans, bills of material, work instructions, and illustrations to define as‑built configurations.
- Develop manufacturing concepts, tooling requirements, and sequencing of events to meet cost and schedule targets.
- Integrate suppliers, materials, and processes to support production and delivery requirements.
- Review and approve supplier data to ensure manufacturing standards are met.
- Investigate and resolve production issues while providing input to design and engineering teams.
- Perform assessments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Draft, update, and review processes and procedures to meet business and regulatory requirements.
- 3+ years of experience interpreting engineering intent and requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with planning and production tools such as DCAC (PDM/CAPP); experience with ENOVIA, DELMIA, ETAC, IVT, CATIA, or REDARs a plus.
- Vantage Clear Certification or equivalent (e.g., active U.S. security clearance, CMMC, or comparable defense‑industry credential) required.
- Experience in production detailed planning, value‑stream build plans, and writing aircraft work instructions preferred.
- Ability to work in a rapid‑reaction, ship‑side support environment to mitigate production stops.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
