Functional Consultant

Our client, a premier and highly established transportation company, is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant to play a key role in supporting and enhancing their ERP environment. This organization operates at an elite level within the transportation industry and depends on Business Central to drive critical financial operations, streamline logistics workflows, and maintain operational efficiency across the business.

In this role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology, ensuring that Business Central is leveraged to its fullest potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ERP systems, business processes, and the ability to translate operational needs into scalable system solutions that support a complex transportation operation.

• Act as the primary functional expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  , supporting finance, operations, and supply chain teams.
• Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to identify opportunities to optimize business processes through improved ERP functionality.
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional system enhancements and configurations.
• Support the ongoing optimization, customization, and improvement of Business Central modules to align with the company’s operational needs.
• Collaborate with technical teams and external partners on system integrations, enhancements, and upgrades

• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure new functionality meets business requirements before deployment.
• Provide training, guidance, and documentation to empower internal teams and drive strong user adoption.
• Analyze existing workflows and recommend ERP-driven solutions that improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational visibility
  .

• 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV in a functional consulting or analyst role.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into practical ERP solutions

• Strong understanding of financial processes, operational workflows, and ERP system functionality.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

• Experience with in transportation, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations
  .
• Exposure to Business Central implementations, upgrades, or large-scale system optimizations.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI
