We are seeking a Reading Interventionist to provide individualized reading instruction using Wilson Reading System® or Orton‑Gillingham. This role focuses on supporting students with dyslexia and other language‑based learning differences through clear instruction and a strengths‑based lens. Work 1:1 or in small groups, in a virtual setting, helping students develop foundational reading skills while also restoring confidence and motivation.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver multisensory reading instruction aligned with Wilson or Orton‑Gillingham
- Provide individualized reading intervention tailored to each student’s learning
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data, curriculum‑based measures, observation, and responsiveness
- Build supportive, respectful relationships with students and families
- Communicate clearly and professionally with caregivers and, when appropriate, school teams
- Maintain session notes and documentation
- Experience teaching or tutoring reading, literacy, or language‑based skills
- Certification in Wilson Reading System® or Orton‑Gillingham (including a completed practicum)
- Experience working with students with dyslexia, learning disabilities, ADHD, or related needs
- Strong communication skills and a calm, encouraging instructional style
- Background in special education, reading intervention, education, speech‑language pathology, or school psychology
- Familiarity with psycho educational evaluation results, IEPs, 504 Plans, and school‑based support systems
- Meaningful, relationship‑based work with real impact for students and families
