General Purpose

The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. They open and close the Store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation and a clean work area.

They also execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain safe & secure environments, including store security, EAS devices, and safety procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect.
  • Represent and support the company brand, maintain a professional appearance, and ensure all associates follow the dress code.
  • Ensure merchandise is appropriately recovered, sized, and marked down, receive merchandise, and keep stockrooms clean and organized.
  • Execute loss prevention responsibilities, including monitoring, code inspections, and safeguarding confidential information.
  • Supervise front‑end operations, train associates on cash registers, and manage line pace.
  • Maintain fitting rooms, audit garment tags, and ensure compliance with go‑back procedures.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager, such as cash pulls, payroll administration, and scheduling compliance.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements / ADA

Ability to use all store equipment, spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store, regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop, occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs. Certain assignments may require additional qualifications.

Base

Pay Range

The base pay range for this role is $18.00 – $18.50. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
