Job Title: Export Logistics Manager

Location: Paarl, South Africa

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Export Logistics Manager to join our client’s team in Paarl. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company’s export logistics operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods to international markets.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement strategic plans for export logistics operations, including freight forwarding, transportation, customs clearance, and documentation
– Negotiate with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and other service providers to secure competitive rates and terms
– Coordinate shipment schedules and monitor the movement of goods to ensure timely delivery to customers
– Ensure compliance with all regulations and requirements for exporting goods to international markets, including customs regulations, trade restrictions, and tariffs
– Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations
– Analyze data and performance metrics to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs
– Supervise a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest levels of performance and customer service

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
– Proven experience in export logistics operations, preferably in the agricultural or food industry
– Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance
– Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management software
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving skills
