Independent Financial Statement Compiler

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Statement Compiler to join our client’s team.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant financial statements for a range of clients, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting principles, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile accurate and comprehensive financial statements for clients.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and consolidation requirements.
• Work closely with client managers, bookkeeping, tax, payroll, and secretarial teams.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in financial reporting.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Matric with strong results in mathematics and accounting.
• BAcc or equivalent degree.
• SAIPA/SAICA membership (or accredited with another professional body).

Experience:

• 3–5 years recent experience in an accounting practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of financials, tax laws, and auditing principles.

Software:

• Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Draftworx (Financial statements)
• Xero, Quick Books, Sage Online Accounting
• SARS E-filing (with Easy File as an advantage)
• Dext (Receipt bank), Hubdoc, Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox
• Payroll:
  Sage Online Payroll, Payspace, Simple Pay

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
• Professional communication in English and Afrikaans.
• Collaborative and adaptable in a team environment.

Work Environment:

• Remote or office-based (as per contract).
• Occasional travel may be required.
