Registered Nurse (RN) – Procedure Clinic

Job at Mercy Clinic Chub O'Reilly – Cancer and Hematology, located in Springfield, MO.

Overview

Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, physicians. Assists the physician in the treatment of patients and completes related clinical paperwork. The incumbent shall carry out responsibilities and integrate the Mercy philosophy of caring for the sick, respect for human life and the dignity of each person, applying Christian values to all crucial human issues in the area over which they have responsibility.

Communication with patients, families, visitors and employees requires a caring, friendly, personal and professional approach. Performs related duties as assigned. All duties, responsibilities and qualifications are subject to reasonable accommodation.

Schedule

Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Employment Type

Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients, assist physicians in treatment, complete clinical paperwork, maintain Mercy values, and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure:
    Current valid state license.
  • Certifications:

    CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, exam, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
  • Knowledge of medications, patient education, self‑care program development, instruments, and common safety practices.
