The Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordinator provides administrative and program coordination support to the Roman Catholic Chaplain and Priest in support of the Fort Rucker Chaplain’s Religious Support Program. This position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Catholic religious services and community activities in accordance with Roman Catholic Church guidelines, Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) policies, Army Regulation 165-1, and installation chaplain policies.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordinator will:
- Provide administrative support for Catholic religious services and pastoral activities.
- Attend required coordination and planning meetings in support of chapel operations.
- Develop and distribute a monthly Catholic Community calendar, including holy days and special events.
- Prepare weekly Catholic bulletins and announcements in accordance with established timelines.
- Prepare liturgical books, Eucharistic elements, and sacred vessels prior to Mass services in accordance with SOPs.
- Maintain Catholic Community registration records and submit monthly updates.
- Coordinate Catholic Community events, including preparation of facility reservation forms and publicity materials.
- Prepare and maintain sacramental records in the AMS portal for priest certification.
- Record attendance at Catholic Community events and submit required reports.
- Provide documentation and data to support AMS quarterly priest reports.
- Experience providing administrative or program support within a Catholic parish, religious, or community setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work professionally within a military religious support environment.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to successfully complete background checks and installation access requirements.
- Experience supporting Catholic liturgical or pastoral activities.
- Familiarity with Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) policies and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
