Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Estimator located in Oxon Hill, MD. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for drywall and related projects by analyzing proposals, specifications, and requirements. Daily tasks include reviewing project documents, quantity takeoffs, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring compliance with project deadlines. The role may also require participation in project planning meetings to ensure alignment with scope and budget.
Qualifications- Proficiency in cost estimation, takeoffs, and bidding processes in commercial and residential drywall projects.
- Strong technical skills in using estimating software and other relevant tools.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Deep understanding of project specifications, construction processes, and materials used in drywall projects.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an estimating role, preferably in drywall contracting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards and building codes is a plus.
