Inventory Control Specialist

Location:

Oxnard, CA

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 8am - 5:30 pm, Fridays 8:00 am - 12:00 p.m.

Compensation: $22 - $24 per hour

Herzog Wine Cellars is currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels throughout the warehouse. This role is responsible for ensuring all dry goods and finished goods are properly stocked, organized, and stored in designated areas to support efficient warehouse and production operations. The Inventory Control Specialist assists in multiple areas of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment, as needed.

Overtime may be required to meet operational demands.

What You’ll Do:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all dry goods and finished goods, identifying discrepancies and replenishing inventory as needed
  • Organize and manage warehouse inventory to ensure proper storage and accessibility
  • Transport dry goods from off-site facilities to the warehouse
  • Safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment as required
  • Maintain detailed logs of products, supplies, and inventory movements
  • Provide daily transactional hand-off of dry goods to the bottling/production line
  • Assist with preparing distributor and internal orders for shipment
  • Support shipping and receiving operations, special projects, and other warehouse functions as assigned
  • Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Conduct all work in compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards
  • Promote a safe, efficient, and organized warehouse environment.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of prior warehouse experience preferred
  • Forklift certification required
  • Strong organizational, time management, and basic mathematical skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of inventory control processes in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and maintaining inventory logs or databases
  • Ability to operate standard office and warehouse equipment safely
  • Professional, courteous, and customer-focused approach when working with employees, vendors, and visitors
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively across all levels of the organization

Compensation will be determined by a number of factors including educational background and experience.
