Responsibilities

Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.

Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts.

Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all store areas inside and outside.

Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.

Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.

Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.

Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.

Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.

Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.

Follow all laws, regulations, and company guidelines.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Manage conflicts in a nonconfrontational manner.

Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.

Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
