Computer Numerical Control Programmer

We’re partnering with a growing advanced manufacturing company developing next-generation fiber optic technologies used in AI infrastructure and high-performance data centers. As demand for AI and chip-level optical systems continues to accelerate, the team is expanding its precision machining group.

We are seeking a CNC Programmer with hands-on experience machining fiber optic components or optical surfaces. This role focuses on high-precision micro-machining, producing extremely small components used in cutting-edge photonic and semiconductor applications.

What You’ll Do

• Program and optimize 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling and micro-grinding operations
• Develop CNC programs for high-precision optical and fiber-optic related components
• Work directly from CAD models to create programs from scratch and refine existing part families
• Design and validate machining setups and fixturing for precision parts
• Implement probing routines for part alignment and verification using Renishaw probing systems
• Utilize tool measurement and compensation systems to maintain tight tolerances
• Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve process reliability and surface quality
• Troubleshoot machining challenges and continuously improve cycle times and machining performance
• Document machining programs, setups, and process parameters

What We’re Looking For

• Strong CNC programming experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machining
• Experience working with micro-machining or optical components
• Hands-on fiber optics manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with Siemens NX CAD/CAM or similar CAM software
• Experience with Renishaw probing or tool setting systems
