CNC Machinist 2

Salary: $24.00 – $35.00 per hour.

Location:

Henderson, NV. Candidate must relocate by January 2027.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow safety requirements within the department.
  • Understand daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Read and follow work instructions displayed electronically (e.g., on iPad).
  • Inspect machined parts.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify part integrity.
  • Load and unload parts correctly.
  • Set and manage tools, including knowledge of tool life and wear.
  • Make machine adjustments to maintain part integrity.
  • Restart machines at the required location in the operation.
  • Set up machines and produce good parts using provided programs, fixtures, and tool lists.
  • Identify the proper gauges to ensure part integrity.
  • Train operators to run machines and produce good parts after a set‑up.
  • Tri‑age most technical issues.
  • Maintain machines (oils, coolant, filters, cleanliness).
  • Operate powered and non‑powered material‑handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, mobile straddle‑stacker lifts).
  • Report any damage to a supervisor or manager.
  • Follow instructions, procedures, and elevate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
  • Exhibit honesty and integrity and demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures, and policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not have any supervisory activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Understand fixture of a part.
  • Understand proper cutting tool selection.
  • Read and understand blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of CNC program editing (if applicable).
Education

High school diploma or GED is required, with an additional one‑to‑three months of related experience, training, or equivalent education/experience.

Minimum Years of Experience

10+ years.

Language Skills

Must read, write, and understand instructions and safety rules in English; must present information in one‑on‑one or small‑group settings.

Mathematical Skills

Must add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions; interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Must apply common sense and understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions; handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment

The work environment may involve general office or engineering lab settings, constant exposure to machining or production floor activities, frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, hazardous chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, and occasional risk of electrical shock.
