Assembly Supervisor – Summary
Position will start in Oxnard, CA and relocate to Henderson, NV 1/4/2027. Assembly Supervisor responsible for ensuring quality products produced safely and effectively per applicable schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Access and understand daily and weekly schedules.
- Find, read & follow work instructions displayed electronically (iPad).
- Correctly use required gages.
- Identify potential problems.
- Troubleshoot problems.
- Assist in training employees within your department.
- Certify employees to operations.
- Perform departmental audits to ensure WI integrity and BOM integrity.
- Ensure assemblers are performing operations correctly.
- Conduct group meetings.
- Logically think through problems in order to make sound decisions.
- Coordinate production to ensure adherence to the Master Schedule.
- Ensure all employees are working safely.
- Provide input to design engineers for ease of assembly for new and existing products.
- Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager.
- Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to elevate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
- Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.
Directly supervises employees. Supervisors must train employees, plan, assign, direct work, address complaints and resolve problems. Supervised employees 26 to 50.
Qualifications – Minimum- Can identify and properly use correct hand tools.
- Understands threads, fasteners and torque wrenches.
- Understands Bill of Materials (BOM’s).
- Can effectively and correctly perform all processes in area supervised.
- Understands departmental performance measures and apply data to improve performance.
- Displays leadership qualities required to keep employees working effectively.
- Good organizational skills.
- Can supervise many different processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish.
High school diploma or GED required plus additional 1-3 months related experience, training or equivalent.
Experience10+ years.
Language Skills- Read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, regulations in English.
- Write analytical/technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, instructional reference material.
- Speak effectively before groups, customers, employees, general public.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume.
- Apply arithmetic, algebra, geometry concepts.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions.
- Interpret technical instructions, diagram form, abstract and concrete variables.
