Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee operations and workflow of the solid waste department.
- Organize solid‑waste operations and ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and ASC Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements.
- Maintain and update the Solid Waste Tracking spreadsheet, ensuring data quality control.
- Coordinate daily tasking with Waste Stream Coordinators, as appropriate.
- Operate and perform daily checks on equipment such as articulating loaders, graders, fork‑lifts, tracked agricultural tractors, dump trucks, excavators, and other related machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
- Record time worked and equipment hours in Maximo as required.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Program Manager.
- Willingness and ability to deploy to Port Hueneme, California.
- Must be able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the maximum safety regulation.
- Ability to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors in extreme conditions.
- Must participate in community programs such as "house-mouse", "daisy‑picking", recycling efforts, and safety objectives.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent is strongly preferred.
Certifications and Licensing- Valid Driver's license required.
- Class A or B CDL preferred.
US citizenship or permanent residency required. A successful Elevated Background Investigation (EBI) is required prior to deployment. Candidates will be required to complete online forms, written forms, fingerprint cards and provide additional details and information as requested by National Science Foundation (NSF) Personnel Security office.
