We are seeking a Strategic Finance, Director to report directly to the VP of Strategic Finance. This highly visible individual contributor role is designed for a proven leader who thrives in ambiguity, translates big-picture goals into actionable results, and elevates how finance operates in a fast‑scaling environment. As the VP's right hand, you'll drive our finance systems roadmap, AI and automation initiatives, and cross‑functional special project partnering across Corporate Finance, Commercial Finance, HR, and operations to enable scale, efficiency, and impact.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

• Proven experience 8+ years in consulting, banking, or strategic finance roles within progressive tech companies, with a track record of driving cross‑functional initiatives and creating impact even in areas beyond your immediate expertise.

• Strategic translation & executive communication. Able to transform complex data and stakeholder input into clear, compelling, and actionable presentations, narratives, and dashboards that drive confident decision‑making at the leadership and board level.
• Innovation & motivation to optimize. Experience using and leading efforts to implement AI‑powered applications and tooling within a Finance org, or a strong interest and capacity to ramp up quickly in this space is an asset.

What you can expect:

• Lead the AI & automation agenda define and execute a high‑value, results‑driven roadmap for AI and automation in Strategic Finance. Focus on practical, high‑impact applications that drive real efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, shaping the finance function of tomorrow.
• Streamline and elevate deliverables: optimize process for recurring reporting with automation where it adds value. Support build and refinement of presentations and narratives to ensure they are clear, polished, and exec‑ready.
• Elevate FP&A as a service design playbooks, documentation, and self‑serve resources that make finance processes transparent, empower stakeholders, and enhance collaboration across the business.
• Lead the headcount process with clarity: streamline coordination between Finance, HR, and business leaders, ensuring roles, processes, and documentation are clear, scalable, and actionable.
• Be the operational backbone of Strategic Finance: run the engine of team OKRs, cross‑functional projects, finance‑wide updates, and special initiatives.
• Deliver accuracy with impact: own the final layer of quality control for board and executive materials, ensuring finance outputs are always accurate, clear, polished and decision‑ready.
• Partner to shape business outcomes: collaborate closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to directly influence the success of Strategic Finance OKRs and the company's broader impact.

The annual base salary for this role is between $174,000 USD and $236,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1
