Teen Empowerment Advisor

The Teen Empowerment Advisor will provide direct services to youth between the ages of 11-18. The Teen Empowerment Advisor is responsible for the following:

• Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing year-round programs for youth

Internal:
Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteers) and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/ instructions, instruct, and advise/counsel youth.

External:
Maintains contact with external community groups, nourritures ...

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, counseling or related field
• Ability to motivate youth
• Ability to deal with the general public
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Demonstrated record of case management, planning and organizational skills
• Ability to deal with at‑risk youth by using non‑traditional delivery methods
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, youth, and other people encountered in the course of work
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred

• Supervise a group of youth and coordinate activities. A majority of time will be spent standing. Moderate lifting will be required from time to time.

Shift from 9:00am to 6:00pm

Monday to Friday
