Hematology​/Oncology Physician

Location: Oxnard, California
Setting: Outpatient Chemotherapy & Infusion Center

• Dec 1 21 with possible ongoing dates in 2026

• Mon Thurs: 7:30 AM 5:30 PM with night pager call

• Fri Sun: 24-hour pager call coverage

Step into a highly supported solo outpatient oncology role along the beautiful California coast. Provide life-changing care in an infusion center with zero inpatient oncology responsibilities and no hospital consults. Pager call is required, but admissions are managed collaboratively with ER physicians or hospitalists.

You will oversee and deliver all aspects of outpatient oncology and hematology care, including diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment planning.
The infusion center requires MD on-site for all treatments.

• Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy

• Blood/Platelet Transfusions

• Hormone Therapy

• Antibiotic Therapy

• RA Injections

• Therapeutic Phlebotomies

You will be well-supported with:

• 1 Clinic RN

• 2 MAs

• 2 Front Office Clerks

• 1 Quality Analyst/Billing

• 3 Infusion RNs

• Long-term NP (Mon Fri 8
  5) assisting with patient flow, orders, and Friday infusions

Average daily census: patients (MD sees majority)
Current call volume: 5 calls/day

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology

  • Will consider providers boarded in one specialty (Onc or Heme)

• Active CA license

• Fellowship in Medical Oncology

• CA DEA, BLS, ACLS

• Clean malpractice highly preferred
