Location: Oxnard, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overview

A public-sector organization in Oxnard is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support its provider audit program. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable coordinating across multiple teams. You will play a key role in executing provider audits, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance within a structured audit cycle.

This position provides an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with Fiscal, Quality, and Operations teams while contributing to important compliance and program oversight efforts.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Review provider contracts to ensure understanding of key terms
  • Use Excel-based tools to track, analyze, and organize audit information
  • Issue audit notices and provide instructions for required document submissions
  • Set deadlines and follow up with providers to ensure timely compliance
  • Schedule and lead entrance conferences, including group sessions with multiple providers
  • Establish and maintain a HIPAA-compliant SharePoint portal for evidence uploads and chart reviews
  • Conduct chart reviews for compliance
  • Coordinate with Fiscal, Quality, and Operations teams to meet audit milestones
  • Manage an assigned group of approximately 20 audits per year
  • Work with audits categorized by five different funding types
  • Support a team currently transitioning from three staff members to two
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in contracts and/or program administration
  • Strong professional writing skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting in group settings
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Experience working in public-sector, nonprofit, or compliance environments
  • Familiarity with audit processes, chart reviews, or HIPAA-related requirements
