Warehouse Coordinator (2 positions available) – Oxford. Fixed Term Contract for 6 months. Airbus Helicopters UK Ltd (AHUK) is the Airbus Helicopters distributor for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
Airbus Helicopters is the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer. The Oxford site is Britain’s civil helicopter hub. AHUK offers experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support, with in-house engineering capabilities including design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, and technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications. AHUK is the MoD’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its Defence Helicopter Flying School (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey).
The Material Management Division focuses on delivering high-quality components and materials at competitive prices, aiming for quality, cost and delivery efficiencies.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the operation of a work area within the Material Management Warehouse as specified by the Warehouse & Distribution Manager.
- Support the Team Leaders and Senior Management in the implementation of Company Policy and Procedure.
- Achieve optimum stock turn and handling for AH UK Ltd.
- Provide necessary support to Management in pursuance of overall Divisional and Company targets.
- Adhere to all documented Company Quality System procedures when carrying out operational duties.
- Conduct material orders / movements in the correct priority sequence.
- Ensure all items are unloaded / handled according to company / airworthiness directives.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Develop and maintain a teamwork approach to working with colleagues.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness to safeguard AH UK’s commercial position.
- Generate new ideas to enhance and improve the department; maintain equipment/area in line with best practice and Company Policy (safe, secure, clean and organised).
- Identify and resolve issues at onset.
- Ensure the application of SAP and any other business tools as trained and in line with work instructions.
- Maintain departmental administrative systems and provide accurate documentation to support functions.
- Support and promote continuous improvement programmes.
- Achieve set targets and objectives.
- Operate cross-functionally across Warehouse functions (inbound / outbound / repairs / tool control).
- Provide regular reports on work in progress to the Team Leaders.
- Participation in the On-Call Roster.
- Experience with the aviation supply chain is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; able to liaise with customers and colleagues at all levels.
- Good security awareness and understanding of stock vulnerability in a warehouse environment.
- Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work under pressure while complying with policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in a target-led environment with delivery to KPIs.
- Knowledge of UK CAA / EASA Part 145 regulations.
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience of driving forklift equipment; relevant training certificate preferred.
- Full UK Driving License.
- A flexible, highly motivated, proactive and “can do” working style.
- Ability to work on own initiative with attention to detail and accuracy.
- DBS Security Clearance and eligibility to obtain SC clearance.
