Senior Housing Officer

Location : Oxford

Start Date : Immediate

Salary : £28500 per annum

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Do you have experience supporting vulnerable individuals to maintain their tenancies and achieve greater independence? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Housing Support Officer to join our team in the Oxford area.

About the Role

As a Senior Housing Support Officer, you will provide tailored support to individuals with complex needs, helping them sustain their housing and improve their quality of life. Your role will involve working closely with tenants, housing providers, and other support services to ensure a holistic approach to housing support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to individuals at risk of tenancy breakdown.
  • Develop and implement personalised support plans.
  • Work in partnership with external agencies, including social services, healthcare providers, and local authorities.
  • Offer guidance on budgeting, tenancy rights, and accessing community resources.
  • Conduct regular home visits and maintain accurate case records.
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide emergency support where required.
About You
  • Previous experience in housing support, social work, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of housing-related support and tenancy sustainment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and risk management.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential).
