Are you mechanically minded, reliable, and looking for a hands‑on role where every day is different? We’re recruiting a Field Service Operative to join a growing service team working across the UK. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem‑solving, and delivering excellent service to customers.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Carrying out repair and maintenance work on mechanical and retail equipment at various customer sites
  • Fitting, stripping, straightening, and welding components to required standards
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and reactive repairs
  • Supporting occasional assembly work on specialist products
  • Travelling to multiple sites each day — your working hours start from your home address as you travel in a company vehicle
  • Completing job reports, timesheets, and service documentation accurately
  • Monitoring service quality and escalating issues where needed
  • Using the company’s service management system, including daily vehicle checks and parts usage logging
  • Following all health & safety procedures and reporting any incidents or near misses
  • Attending training sessions as required

Overnight stays may be required on occasions when working further afield.

What We’re Looking For
  • Solid mechanical understanding and practical problem‑solving ability
  • Reliable, customer‑focused, and flexible in approach
  • Previous MIG welding experience is advantageous
  • Comfortable working outdoors and travelling between sites
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong awareness of health & safety
  • FULL UK Driving Licence with minimal endorsements is essential
  • Must be clean‑shaven to meet Respiratory Protective Equipment requirements (alternative RPE available for religious or medical reasons)
Why This Role Might Suit You
  • Varied, hands‑on work with no two days the same
  • Independence and responsibility while still being part of a wider support team
  • Opportunity to develop mechanical and technical skills
  • Company vehicle provided for work use

If you’re practical, mechanically minded, and enjoy being out on the road supporting customers, we’d love to hear from you. I can also shape this into a shorter social‑media‑friendly version if you want to promote it across multiple platforms.
