Department DescriptionOur vision is to reimagine Relationship Banking for established SMEs, through the very best people and digital tools. Our Relationship Manager team, formed in 2022, continues to grow viding every customer who opens an account with us with a Relationship Manager is core to our strategy. Relationship Managers build deep levels of understanding and trust with their customers, support them through Allica Bank products, and play a key role in new business development.
PrincipalAccountabilities
- Be the go-to SME Relationship Manager in your community through strong and trusted external relationships.
- Build and manage a portfolio of SME customers, understanding their needs and business aspirations and finding opportunities to support them.
- Originate SME lending opportunities from initial enquiry to completion, writing credit papers in line with Allica’s credit policy and working with operational teams.
- Build deep, trusting relationships with onboarded customers and meet a variety of needs through appropriate Allica Bank products.
- Create and deliver the business plan for your area, including new business objectives, and actively manage your objectives and personal development plan.
- Represent Allica in your area with excellence, ensuring outstanding service for local SME customers, prospects and advisors.
- Work closely and collaboratively with all areas of Allica, including Business Development and Accountancy Partnership Teams.
- Contribute positively to Allica’s culture, promoting our values of Straightforward, Integrity, Collaborative and Delivery.
- Comply with all mandatory policies and operational procedures to maintain internal controls.
- Highly capable Business Developer and Relationship Manager with a long‑term track record of building high‑value, trust‑based referrals.
- Strong understanding of SME banking and a background in commercial lending.
- Exemplary service record and history of exceeding new business targets.
- Passion for SMEs, self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with evidence of career progression or out performance.
- Ability to work expertly with customers, colleagues and advisors to structure new lending proposals and write credit applications.
- Proven track record in providing excellent customer service, generating new income opportunities while managing credit risk.
- Ability to analyse and review financial accounts and associated information.
