Team Manager - Fashion, Home & Beauty - Oxford
Join Marks and Spencer as Team Manager in our Oxford store. Lead a team on the shop floor to deliver outstanding availability, 5‑star service and commercial results in a competitive retail environment.
Responsibilities- Lead and coach a team to deliver consistently under pressure, building capability and upholding standards.
- Own sales, standards, availability and team performance and take responsibility when outcomes fall short of plan.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver a seamless customer experience and solve problems early.
- Drive commercial performance by understanding the numbers, translating them into action and keeping the team laser‑focused on what matters.
- Drive profitability and sales through the Retail Plan and Store KPI’s, embedding business transformation and change initiatives.
- Deliver great standards, service and a multiskilled team that utilises all tools and digital ways of working.
- Use data and insight to improve the in‑store experience, operations and performance.
- Maintain a safe and legal store environment, supporting visual merchandising and store launch updates.
- Commercially sharp with a strong commercial sense.
- Operationally resilient, able to work under pressure and lead through change.
- Strong coaching and people management skills, recruiting and developing talent.
- Excellent communication, digital capability and the ability to analyse and use data.
- Good understanding of visual merchandising principles and the ability to translate customer feedback into actions.
- Experience of leading a high‑performance retail team and delivering KPI results.
- Customers – delivering a customer‑focused service proposition.
- Colleagues – coaching, supporting and developing the team.
- Store Leadership – collaborating on strategy and transformation.
- Regional Leadership – reporting on results and supporting wider plans.
