Chemical Formatting Junior Scientist - Graduate Opportunity

Oxford

Salary (6-months pro rata) – £25,000 – £26,000

Temporary contract (6 months) – possibility to become permanent

Hours:

37.5 hours per week

• Preparing and organising incoming chemical compounds, including tracking, weighing, and initial sample preparation for scientific teams.
• Supporting the smooth running of the laboratory by assisting with stock keeping, general lab maintenance, and other operational tasks as needed.
• Accurately tracking laboratory work using various software tools and maintaining precise records in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
• Working closely with team members and other departments, ensuring clear communication and effective teamwork.

• 5 GCSEs at grade C or above or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience of working with Excel spreadsheets.
• Good IT skills.
• Laboratory experience, especially pipetting and liquid handling, would be particularly advantageous.
• Able to commute to the Oxford area on a daily basis.
• Full right to work in the UK.
