The Community Development Worker will coordinate and deliver a range of community projects and activities across the Leys in line with the CDI’s strategic plan. Working closely with the Charity Manager, the postholder will build strong relationships with residents, partners and volunteers to ensure projects are well-planned, effectively delivered and have measurable impact.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills Empathy and ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups of people
- Collaboration with the Leys CDI Team and a role up your sleeve approach
- Effective planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and organisations
- Understanding of social issues affecting communities
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and situations
- IT Skills – mainly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Imagination, patience and a sense of humour!
