Location:
Chalgrove, Oxfordshire (Commutable from Reading, High Wycombe, Oxford, Didcot, Harwell, Aylesbury, Bicester and others)
Salary: £49,000 – £51,500 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)
Shift Pattern: 4-on / 4-off
We are recruiting a Manufacturing Shift Supervisor for a highly regulated, safety-critical engineering and manufacturing environment based in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire.
This role sits within Operations and is responsible for coordinating work across multiple production areas, ensuring teams are fully resourced, operating safely, and delivering against production plans and KPIs.
You will complete a structured training period on standard day hours before moving onto a 4-on / 4-off shift pattern.

Manufacturing Shift Supervisor Responsibilities
* Allocate work and resources in line with the production schedule
* Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and compliance across manufacturing areas
* Lead daily briefs and communicate priorities to production teams
* Monitor and support departmental KPIs and operational performance
* Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve defects and implement corrective actions
* Proactively identify and remove operational barriers
* Support performance monitoring, attendance, and team engagement
* Ensure effective handovers between shifts to maintain continuity
Manufacturing Shift Supervisor Profile
* Previous experience supervising or leading teams within an engineering environment
* Experience in aerospace, defence, automotive, or similarly regulated environments
* Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
* Understanding of modern manufacturing methods (Lean, SPC, MRP, continuous improvement)
* Exposure to inspection, quality or NDT environments would be ideal
* Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
